Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30/10/2026This Privacy Policy explains how Entour collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use the Entour mobile application, our event registration website (events.entour.dk) and related services.
1. Data controller
Entour is owned and operated by:
Entour
CVR: 46378806
E-mail: support@entour.dk
We refer to ourselves as "Entour", "we", "us" or "our". The user is referred to as "you" or "user".
2. What data we collect
When you use Entour, we only collect data necessary to deliver and improve the app. This includes:
- Account information - name, email address, username, profile picture, and bio, provided when you create and manage your account.
- Location data - approximate or precise location when you use the app to find or create activities. Location is only accessed while using the app and is not collected in the background.
- Activity data - activities you create or join, including coordinates, city, meeting point, distance, pace, and start time.
- Messages - content you send in activity chats, including associated metadata.
- Device and usage data - IP addresses, device identifiers, app interactions, crash logs, and diagnostics.
- Support and communications - messages or reports you send to us.
- Web event registration - if you register for an activity on events.entour.dk, we collect your email address and the sign-in details from the method you choose (email link, Google, Apple or Facebook), your first name, last name and username (if your profile is not already complete), the activity you register for, the time of registration and whether you registered via the app or the website. Signing in creates an Entour account, or uses your existing account if you already have one. The language you choose on the website is only used to send the confirmation email in that language and is not stored on your profile.
Our websites store your language preference in your browser's local storage. On events.entour.dk, your browser also stores your sign-in session (Firebase Authentication), your email address while an email sign-in link is pending, and the activity you are registering for, so that you can complete the registration. To protect registrations against abuse and automated sign-ups, events.entour.dk uses Firebase App Check with Google reCAPTCHA. reCAPTCHA collects information about your device and browser (such as IP address, browser and device data and how you interact with the page) and may set its own cookies. These technologies are strictly necessary to provide the registration you request and to keep it secure, and are therefore used without consent. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on our websites.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to:
- Provide and personalize our services (contract)
- Show relevant activities nearby (based on your consent to share location)
- Enable communication between activity participants (contract)
- Send notifications about activities you've joined (consent)
- Analyze usage and improve the service (legitimate interest)
- Ensure platform safety and integrity (legitimate interest)
- Comply with applicable legal obligations (legal obligation)
- Register you for activities via our event registration website, show your registration to the arranger and to other Entour users in the app, and send you a confirmation email (contract)
- Protect the event registration website against abuse and automated sign-ups (legitimate interest)
4. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)
We only process your data when we have a lawful basis:
- Consent - e.g. when you grant permission for location data or push notifications.
- Contract - to deliver the services you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests - specifically: preventing fraud and abuse, maintaining the security and stability of the platform, understanding how users interact with features to improve the experience, and enforcing our terms of service.
- Legal obligations - where required by law.
5. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- Service providers - who help us operate the app, including Firebase (authentication, cloud messaging, App Check), Google Maps, Resend (transactional email such as registration confirmations), analytics providers, and infrastructure monitoring providers.
- Other users - your profile (e.g. display name, username and profile picture) is visible to other Entour users. When you register for an activity, in the app or on events.entour.dk, other Entour users can see in the app that you are participating.
- Authorities - where legally required.
- Arrangers - when you register for an activity hosted by an organisation or group (in the app or on events.entour.dk), the arranger can see your display name (name and/or username), your profile picture (if you have one) and the date you registered in its participant list. We do not share your email address with the arranger. The arranger is an independent data controller for its own use of this information - please contact the arranger directly with questions about how it processes your data. You can always contact us at support@entour.dk about how Entour processes your registration.
Our service providers act as data processors on our behalf and are bound by data processing agreements. When you choose to sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook, those companies process your data as independent controllers under their own privacy policies.

As a user, you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Have your data deleted ("right to be forgotten")
- Receive your data in a structured format (data portability)
- Object to our processing
- Restrict the processing of your data in certain circumstances
- Withdraw your consent (e.g. for notifications or location)
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. Contact us at support@entour.dk to exercise your rights.
We will respond to your request within one month. In complex cases, this may be extended by up to two additional months, in which case we will inform you of the delay.
You can delete your account at any time - also if you only registered via events.entour.dk and have never used the app. Follow the instructions on our account deletion page, where you can request deletion by email. Please write from the email address linked to your account, or tell us which address it is, so that we can verify the request. A link to that page is included in every registration confirmation email.
Unregistering from a single activity is currently only possible in the Entour app; if you do not want to use the app, contact us at support@entour.dk and we will remove your registration.
